Who are our teams?
Last updated: 24/10/2023
Our research delivery teams are hosted in all divisions, providing specialist support to set up and deliver commercial and non-commercial research. They are in regular contact with potential PIs - our research-active clinicians - which includes doctors, nurses, midwives, physios and other allied health professionals, and clinical scientists. The Research and Development (R&D) team liaises with the research teams to assess whether there is capacity and capability to deliver a study within the agreed timelines. If you would like to set up a study or a new collaboration, please email research@uhbw.nhs.uk and the R&D team can put you in touch.
We have specialist research teams in the following areas:
- Medicine
- Cardiology
- Cardiac Surgery
- Haematology and Oncology
- Bone Marrow Transplant
- Surgery
- Ophthalmology
- Intensive Care
- Vaccine research and sampling/testing
- Obstetrics
- Gynaecology
- Children’s services across most secondary and tertiary services, including vaccine research and oncology and haematology
Our cross-divisional research services in pharmacy, radiology, lab medicine and our therapies work closely with divisional research teams to facilitate research.
