University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust appoints Jayne Mee as new Chair of UHBW

University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW) are delighted to announce the appointment of a new Chair of the Trust Board, Jayne Mee. Jayne is currently the interim Chair for UHBW and a Non-Executive Director.

With a wealth of experience in human resources and organisational development across the NHS, charitable and commercial sector, Jayne has an impressive track record supporting executives and organisations through culture change, engagement and transformation. 

Welcoming her appointment, on behalf of the Board of Governors, Robert Woolley, Chief Executive for University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust said:

“Jayne has already proved herself as interim Chair and brings a wealth of experience from her knowledge of the acute provider sector. She is a hugely capable leader who is dedicated to the patients and staff at UHBW. I very much look forward to continuing to work with her.” 

Speaking about her appointment Jayne Mee, Chair of UHBW said: “Leading the Trust through a global pandemic as interim Chair over the last nine months has been both challenging and rewarding. It’s a privilege to take up the role permanently. 

“Our staff at UHBW are amazing and share the same determination to provide outstanding care for our patients. Their wellbeing will continue to be my priority. 

“I look forward to working with my colleagues at UHBW and the Integrated Care System, to deliver excellent care to our patients, improve the health and wellbeing of our local and regional communities and tackle health inequalities.”
